Bad gets worse...

This news has been around for a while... the debate within the Indian-American community over the "correct" version of Indian history. I was reading this article on Christian Science Monitor and I stumbled on some really stunning bit of information.

For long, American textbooks taught children that Hindi was written in the Arabic script and they identified a Muslim as a Hindu priest! But more importantly, as the article mentions, ideology has now taken the front seat and the books seem to be headed for a more skewed future.
